How to use Coconut oil on your hair

The first time I used coconut oil on my hair I was afraid it would leave my hair oily and looking dirty. After reading how to wash it off correctly I felt better about it and tried it out.

Now I am doing this at least once a week and I am loving the results.

Not only is coconut oil good for growth but for a salon shine as well.

I wanted to share with you how I apply coconut oil on my hair so you can try it for yourself 🙂

What you will need :1

  • coconut oil ( I use the Dis Chem brand)
  • hair brush
  • hair band

What to do :

I use as much as I feel like using to be honest, most of the time I just like to make sure I covered my hair from root to tip.

Start by massaging the oil into your scalp and taking it down from there.

I pay extra attention to my hair ends as they seem to be the driest part of my hair.

When you feel like you have applied enough oil to your liking you can leave your hair loose or tie it up.

I like to tie my hair in a bun or braid before I go to bed.

This is something you can do during the day or at night time .

I do prefer sleeping with the oil in my hair and washing it out the next morning for a salon look.

When washing out the oil you will find you have to wash your hair more than once or twice with normal shampoo to get all the oil out.

I do not prefer to use conditioner in my as the oil already conditions my hair.

So after 3 or 4 washes with shampoo I blow dry my hair and if I want I run the straightener coconutoilthrough as well.

I do apologise , I did not take a after photo as I did forget to do so but you can take my word for it ,this is amazing for your hair and I will recommend it to any one , even the guys.

Let me know how it worked for you or if you have any other home treatment tips for us?
